About Plume Hill Carriage
Our horse and carriage service was founded in 2000 by Keith and Phyllis McDonald and is family-owned and operated right here in Newton, IA.  Our love of  Percherons is the reason we  dreamed about bringing something elegant and unique to special events. Our goal is to help create memories that will last a lifetime.
We offer services for brides and grooms, prom, homecoming, birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas events in the communites around Iowa, funerals, corporate and special events such as Pella Tulip Time.  Other carriage services may offer similar features, but our services are the best, and come with an individualized personal touch.
MEET OUR GENTLE GIANTS

HORSE DRAWN VEHICLES

*Our vis-a-vis carriage features Victorian detail such as the plush burgundy and gray upholstered interior, a convertible top and chrome accents. The carriage has been superbly hand-crafted by the Amish with intricate hand-painted detailing. Comfortably accommodates four to six adults.
*Our surrey is burgendy with black upholstered interior, fringe covered top and includes gold accents. It is the Cadillac of carriages and can hold eight to ten people.
*Our white wagon is pulled by double hitch with bench seating. It can be used for any type of event including but not limited to parades, funerals and weddings.
*The bobsled is a magical wonder during the winter season. The sled is dark green with bench seating. It can be used for any type of event as long as there is enough snow on the ground.
These gentle giants stand 17 hands tall. Perchrons are native to France and were originally used in circuses because of their smooth gait.
